1. Prayer and Fasting

God knows better than any of us the current need for a rebirth of chastity, for a stop to contraception and abortion, and for a culture of life. Since He is all-powerful as well as all-knowing, He could perform a series of miracles that would practically force people to change their ways, and that would, of course, save us any effort. That, however, is not the way God has chosen to work. Instead, He has chosen to work through us weak human beings. He even wants us to pray for his help. He knows that time is important to us, and perhaps He wants to see if we are interested enough in his works to be willing to spend a few moments of our time to pray for extremely important conversions in individuals and in our culture.

Fasting is difficult but doesn't take any time. Concerning some evil spirits, Jesus taught that some "cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting" (Mark 9:29).

Fasting and time spent in praying for a rebirth of chastity and for a stop to abortion and contraception shows that we are interested in some of the same things in which God is very interested. So please pray and fast for the work of NFP International — pro-life, pro-chastity, and pro-family.

Please share this website with others — your friends and associates, relatives and clergy.
