Natural Family Planning: Online Home Study Course

Sunday, September 25th, 2016

Remarks from those who have taken the online course by email correspondence.

“Having kicked the pill over two years ago and being confirmed in the Faith, I finally have given God the trust and control to lead my life and marriage in a fruitful Sacrament that will be the ultimate witness to non-believers.”

“After learning the information from this course and other marriage preparation courses we have taken, I am definitely more open to the idea of using NFP as birth control and have discussed it with friends and family.”

“We are in a situation where we have decided to let God’s plan unfold and we are very welcoming to children in our life right now but don’t necessarily need it planned or timed.  I think once we have our first child we will definitely utilize different rules and theories, especially with breastfeeding.”

“I think that if the pop culture attitude towards NFP can reflect the positives rather than the negatives it would open a line of questioning for many people—Catholic or not.  In college, I had to sign a document stating that I would accept full responsibility and not sue the university if I had a child with birth defects before the school psychiatrist would release my prescription for ADD medication regardless of my sexual activity or lack thereof! Had I been on  birth control, they would have accepted that fully and not questioned me, even without checking to see if I was on any antibiotics which would render birth control inactive.  It is hard to promote a method of family planning when doctors, professionals, and peers quote the effectiveness rate of hormonal contraceptives and the failure rate for NFP.  It is already set up with a negative connotation before any conversation has begun.”

“We would like to say thanks again to everything you have been done for us. Now I can feel stress-free. We will ask questions if we have them and this course has been very low cost for us.”

“There was a lot of information we would of never known if we did not take this course.  This course has not only made us aware of our own bodies but of each other’s so we can help each other out.”

“We learned so much both on the theological and the scientific aspect.  We’re grateful we took the course. We will definitely recommend your program to others.”

“Thank you so much for working with us. This class surpassed our expectation. I am also thankful to know that we can reach out to you in the future in regards to our charts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”

“Thank you for creating such a great guide that is aligned to the teaching of the church! We really appreciate it!”

“Thank you for such an incredible NFP manual. It was extremely enlightening and brought up some important conversations between us. I cannot thank you enough for this experience.”

“Thanks for taking the time to help us through the course. It was very informative and we’re glad we took it!”

Natural Family Planning International: The one to support

Sunday, September 18th, 2016

Do you know
that breastfeeding is the only variable that offers lifelong protection against breast cancer?

―that if every mother worldwide did predominant breastfeeding 823,000 lives of children under 5 would be saved each year?

―that the frequent nursing of “ecological breastfeeding” offers the best hope of a long-term milk supply?

Do you know

that NFP International teaches ecological breastfeeding as a form of natural family planning?

that ecological breastfeeding provides, on the average, 14 to 15 months of natural infertility?

And what is ecological breastfeeding?   Eco-breastfeeding is that form of nursing in which

1) the mother fulfills her baby’s needs for frequent suckling and her full-time presence and

2) in which the child’s frequent suckling postpones the return of the mother’s fertility.

Do you know that NFP International is the only American NFP organization that teaches all of the following?

  1. Ecological breastfeeding and the Seven Standards as a form of natural family planning.
  2. The covenant theology of human sexuality as an easy way to grasp the teaching of Humanae Vitae.
  3. Systematic NFP with different answers for different situations.
  4. The need for a sufficiently serious reason to use systematic NFP to postpone pregnancy.
  5. The immorality of using masturbation and sodomy during the fertile time as a form of “NFP.”

Do you know that NFP International needs your help to grow as a corporal and spiritual work of mercy?

We believe that developing a culture of life requires a widespread rejection of marital contraception and conversion to God’s plan for life, love and family.  That entails generosity in having children, acceptance of ecological breastfeeding, when possible, for spacing babies, and using chaste systematic NFP when more spacing is needed.

If you share this conviction, please help the NFPI apostolate.  Please make your check to NFPI and send to:
NFP International, P. O. Box 861; Steubenville OH 43952
Or donate online at the website.

Thank you for reading this.  Please pray for us and for the NFP International apostolate.  Please donate; your gift will make a difference.  NFPI is a 501-c-3 not-for-profit organization.  Gifts are tax-deductible.

PS. Please visit our website. We are working to make it the “go-to” site for 1) practical help with NFP including a downloadable manual for a small donation and free charts, 2) theological support for Humanae Vitae and 3) breastfeeding research.

Learn natural family planning at home!

Sunday, July 3rd, 2016

What is the NFPI home study course?  The  course is a convenient way for couples to complete an NFP course for self-instruction and as a normal part of preparation for marriage.

What will couples learn?  In the NFPI Home Study Course, each couple will—

• Study the NFPI manual, Natural Family Planning: The Complete Approach.

• Learn how to observe, record, and interpret the signs of female fertility.

• Apply that knowledge to determine the fertile and infertile times of the cycle.

• Learn about the natural spacing of births with ecological breastfeeding.

• Learn Catholic teaching about love, marriage, sexuality and responsible parenthood.

• Understand that teaching in terms of the Christian marriage covenant.

• Understand the meaning of chaste abstinence during the fertile time.

• And be encouraged to be generous in having children.

NFP International has the most complete program and is one of the most economical programs…whether the instruction be given in classes or online.

An engaged couple who completed the online course last month:  “This is such valuable information. I wish more couples were made aware of the true benefits of the temperature sign along with all the benefits of NFP! Truly amazing how God has gifted our body with all the tools we need. Thank you so much for working with us. This class surpassed our expectation. I am also thankful to know that we can reach out to you in the future in regards to our charts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”
