Natural Family Planning International: Please Donate

Sunday, June 16th, 2019

NFP International is unique among NFP providers in that we teach the covenant meaning of the marriage act, for better and for worse (including the imagined worse of possible pregnancy). We also teach how hormonal contraceptives can be abortifacient and increase health risks for the woman.

NFPI is also unique in teaching about ecological breastfeeding. That’s the full-time breastfeeding that gives the mother 14-15 months on average of natural infertility. We also ensure that our students know how healthy breastfeeding is for both mother and baby.

The third strand of our “Triple Strand” is the Dr. Konald Prem method of charting, which is very versatile and comprehensive.

NFPI is a small organization, and we have a small budget. We ask for $80 for a couple to take our course. The number of students that we teach is not enough to cover our expenses, and so we would like to ask you to donate to NFP International. The reason we teach couples is because it is beneficial for them to know the above information. It is our small share of promoting a culture of life and a civilization of love.  By sending a monetary gift to NFPI, you are contributing to a good start for our student couples who are preparing to enter into marriage.

Please consider sending a donation to NFP International. We are helping couples know more about God’s plan for marriage and family life. Also, please pray for us, and know that we are praying for God to bless you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Stephen Craig
Executive Director
PS:  Sheila:  On June 9, 2019, I received this comment about our course:  I have gained a significant amount of knowledge through taking this course. I am agnostic, so I learned a good amount about Catholicism and the beliefs towards sex and children. Furthermore, I have not learned anything regarding menstruation/cycles since my middle school sexual education days, so this was great. Especially new to me were all of the methods to tell exactly what part of the cycle a woman is in. I think I will be able to help [my wife] with her fertility and her nursing!
We appreciate any donation so we can continue helping couples.

Natural Family Planning and Ecological Breastfeeding

Sunday, April 7th, 2019

Why am I doing this? I have been blogging for NFP International for 13 years.  Sometimes I wonder why I bother writing a blog for NFP International. Is it really important to spend time promoting eco-breastfeeding for spacing births?  Who cares?  Well, we do.  In the NFP International mission, we think it is important to teach this form of breastfeeding which spaces babies without abstinence and offers so many benefits to both mother and baby.

That is why we bother and frequently blog on this topic.

We are also in need of donations so this ministry can continue.  I am a volunteer.  So is my husband.  But we also have a full-time, hard-working Executive Director.  Please consider donating this Lenten season.

Thank you,
Sheila Kippley

The Role of Natural Family Planning International

Sunday, November 25th, 2018

This organization, NFPI, shares the founders’ 47 years of experience with teaching natural family planning and explaining morality in a way that ordinary people can understand. The content of our triple-strand approach to natural family planning is unique within the NFP movement.

Ecological breastfeeding provides a wonderful combination of health benefits for mother and baby, the emotional benefits of attachment parenting, and the natural spacing of babies. It is truly part of God’s plan for families. Only ecological breastfeeding with its Seven Standards provides a significant spacing of babies. Most couples can use ecological breastfeeding to space the births of their children and then use systematic NFP when they have a sufficiently serious reason for additional spacing or avoiding pregnancy.

The covenant theology of human sexuality provides an easy-to-grasp way to understand and internalize God’s plan for love, marriage and sexuality. The knowledge that the sex act ought to symbolize the commitment of marriage provides meaning and motivation to postpone the “marriage act” until marriage. The knowledge that within marriage it ought to be a renewal of the marriage covenant provides deep meaning to this expression of married love. It also provides a challenge to spouses to maintain an attitude of caring love and gratitude throughout every aspect of their life together.

The Kippley-Prem Method of systematic NFP provides couples with maximum freedom of choice and minimum abstinence.
